My wife and I are wanting to retire 68 and 69 years respectively and our family’s next generation are not interested in continuing operations.
My grandfather selected this property in 1897. The property is well established in the Traprock country on the Southern Darling Downs Granite belt region.
The property has been destocked since 2019 and only have a few agistment cattle on at present.
We don’t plan to sell. We plan to remain living on the property but we don’t wish to continue with stock work.
We would really like to find a young person who is genuinely committed to getting started in the livestock industry and who wants to get involved in whole of property management.
About the farm:
· Carrying capacity 3000 dse
· Property is suited to sheep with a few cattle
· The offer is for lease of grazing area 6700 acres
