Project Description: The Noongar Land Enterprise (NLE) is a new and innovative approach to improving the socioeconomic outcomes of Aboriginal landholders moving from passive land management to actively managing new business enterprises. The NLE is a leader in supporting and realising opportunities for Aboriginal landholders to plan and develop business enterprises in primary production. The project worked with six member properties to undertake on-property assessments to identify key business aspirational priorities. The assessments identified the need for NLE to provide support to members for business planning and structures. This identified need led to the creation of a logo and website. The assessment also provided opportunities for members to to share resources, information and create scale. The members are now benefitting from information flow and shared experience within the membership and external information from supporters such as the Department of Primary Industries and the Aboriginal Business Development Unit.
