Project Description: The Down to Earth produce project, 'Central West Fresh' aimed to develop a collaborative approach to logistics, business development, marketing and promotion. In addition, the project provides access to reliable refrigerated transport for primary producers who are constrained by the lack of transport options, an alternative marketing channel for producers of ethically produced fresh produce via the website/ produce box sales, allows producers to have input into the pricing of their product rather than having prices dictated by traditional market forces and evidence that the collaborative farming model is beneficial.
