Project Description: The Australian Green Tea Cooperative project led to the creation of the new tea growers co-operative. The co-op is independent from (but inclusive of) the major tea processors in NSW, and thereby offers farmers involved in tea farming, or looking to get into tea farming, an alternative source of unbiased information and support. The co-op formed important cross jurisdictional networks with the Department of Primary Industries (DPI), Regional Development Australia (RDA), as well as several other intergovernmental agencies (jobs for NSW, food futures, hunter connect, Department of Industry etc) all of which can benefit current and future co-op members as well the fledgling tea industry in the future.
