Key Points

In 2020, Farming Together was selected as the facilitator for the development of a number of key strategic pathways for the Cardinia Shire Council to consider in their Bushfire Economic Recovery initiative.

As part of the project, Farming Together worked with key stakeholders in the region to design and implement two online workshops. The workshops were harnessed as a platform for authentic collaboration between group members enabling articulation of ideas and forming of pathways.

The second workshop included a presentation by Farming Together partner farmers who are experienced in their fields and shared their expertise.

On conclusion of the project, Farming Together presented Cardinia Shire Council with an implementation plan and case study examples to continue to build the capacity of the farmers in the region through collaborative business models.
